Welcome to the Wild Bunch UK Website.
Formed in 2005 as a side project for West Country Singer and Guitarist Chris Rainbow.(AKA The Real Chris Rainbow). Recording original songs and music as well as some Classic covers, with a style leaning towards southern boogie
(Black Oak Arkansas being a major influence).
The core line up of this band was Chris guitar/vocals/washboard, Big Ted Turner bass guitar/keyboards and Handsome Tony White drums(formally of prog rockers Justin's Timepeace). For live shows John Coyle was drafted in to fulfill bass guitar duties as well as various other musicians who appeared with the band.
A handful of live shows in the West Country, 4 EPs and 3 full length CDs
(see discog) are the band's legacy.
Band Status...curently inactive (Chris concentrating on his solo career and working with former Uriah Heep Bassman Paul Newton see NRP).
Speaking of the Wild Bunch in 2017 Chris said there is "always the possibility of some new recordings and shows as there is still some interest in the band). Two of the Albums being still available on CD Baby.
Whatever one's viewpoint the Wild Bunch was a fun project making music for the sheer enjoyment of doing it rather than any commercial reward, proving that obscurity really is the new Rock'nRoll.
