Oaken Ground Review by Conrad Malpas
From the very rock string intro into the opening track Keep The Faith you know that you are in for a good time listening to this Album..
This is a celebration of the Southern Rock Chris prefers to associate with and he does not hold back on this album with none other than 11 tracks ,written by the great man himself.
Chris is a man with many talents and this Album shows you just a few of them, with his unique use of guitar playing, his way with song writing and his use of the melodic tone of lyrics which transcend over his many songs that he has written and set in stone on this CD. To prove my point just take a listen to track number 7, SABF and try to prove me wrong.
Chris should be on the big stage playing to the masses but he has chosen the long highways playing the pubs and clubs of this fair land which keep him grounded and loved by all his fans.
This is a one of those albums which you listen to time and time again and you never get bored of listening to it and you spot something new on every spin, this is a party for your ears and you should invite all your friends to join in the fun.
This is one album everyone should have in their collection, and if you have a chance to see Chris live, brake every speed limit and get in the front row of the venue, this is one man you cannot miss to see and hear perform.

An old lady in the village kindly gave us her old washboard and so in
gratitude we wrote and recorded a song featuring it.The song mainly
an instrumental will be included on the new Wild Bunch UK CD
scheduled for autumn 09 . Playing the washboard was a lot of fun.
We don't claim to be experts at washboard playing but we think
the new track has come out really well.

Our live in the studio film has been scheduled for sometime in July and
will feature a guest appearence from our old mate "Handsome" Tony
White on the drums.
